Arsen Zakharyan who became the Dynamo first goalscorer in the 2021/22 season commented on the match against Rostov (2:0).

— The best young football player of the previous season scores his opener in the new championship. Do you feel that you entered the history once again?

— No, I don’t. A football player comes out on the pitch to score goals. I play in attack – well, I managed to score and I am happy. Keep moving.

— Do you score already without any special emotions? Is everything so usual?

— Goals are my responsibility. Of course, I am happy to score in such a tough match against Rostov. Now I need to continue the same way.

— Have you seen the video from the new kit presentation? To some extent, it turned out to be prophetic. You scored the first goal there.

— Yes, yes, yes, I saw it. And today someone reminded me of this. Igor, (Dynamo press officer – editor's remark) maybe? It was cool.

— The beginning of the new season, a win, but stands were silent. What are your impressions of the match?

— The win brought us positive emotions. However, it would have been cooler with the fans. Moreover, we haven't won in Rostov for a long time. And we earned a win without the supporters. Before the match, our fans supported us very well at the hotel. I want to thank them.

— You got the award of the best player of the match for the second time. The team manager said that he would take all your awards so that you would not become proud. Have you already given him this prize?

— I don't know. Someone stole it from me in the locker room. I haven't seen it yet (laughs). The doctor took it, but he promised to give it to me back in Moscow.

— Before this match Valery Karpin became the head coach of the Russian national team. Did you know that the new coach was watching you from stands?

— This was news for everyone. We knew it only after the match.

— You performed well.

— It was only the first match. I need to continue this way throughout the whole season.
