Dynamo defeat AEL Limassol in tough match at VTB training camp in Austria

Today, Sandro Schwarz chose the same starting line-up as for the first friendly match against CFR Cluj-Napoca. The only change was made in the center of the attack, where Gladyshev replaced Tyukavin.

In the first half Dynamo players threatened the opponent’s goal from distance – Kutitskiy and Zakharyan attempted to score. At the same time centre-backs Sazonov and Pliyev in tandem with defensive midfielder Kutitskiy didn’t allow Cypriot players to leak into Dynamo penalty box. Leshchuk was attentive at goal denying Scepovic’s shot immediately before the break.  

At the very beginning of the second half, Dynamo players came close to goal. Galkin found Gladyshev in the penalty area. The latter curled the ball wide into the far corner. Then Skopintsev assisted to Zakharyan who leaked from the left side and threatened with a low shot that Keravnos barely stopped. AEL responded with his sharp attack — Torres shot into the near corner, and Leshchuk deflected the ball with his foot.

Dynamo increased pressure on AEL after a series of expected substitutions. And 15 minutes before the end of the match, the White-Blues’ advantage finally led to a goal. Tyukavin burst into the penalty area, made an assist to the far post, where Lesovoy leapfrogged AEL defender and put the ball in the back of the net — 1:0.

The Moscow side left their second opponent goalless and will face LASK from Austria on Saturday. The last fixture of this training camp will start at 18:00 (Moscow time). Dynamo TV will broadcast this match live.
