Dynamo lose to Krylia Sovetov in home fixture

# RPL

The encounter of the RPL tenth round that was held at the VTB Arena ended in a 0:1 defeat.

Sandro Schwarz did not make any change in the starting eleven fielding the same group as against Sochi and Rubin. Anton Shunin finally recovered from the injury and entered the team list. Before the kick-off, there was a minute of silence dedicated to the club anthem writer and blues musician Nikolay Arutyunov who had passed away 10 days ago.

From the very beginning, Dynamo looked confident and dominated on the pitch. Zakharyan had two good attempts to score. However, the young goalkeeper of the Samara side denied both of them. In the 23rd minute the hosts received a wake-up call when Roman Yezhov was set clear by Ivan Sergeyev to slot home a cold-blooded finish.

After conceding a goal, the White-Blues put more pressure on the opponent, but it was not easy to break through the confident defense of the Samara team. Fomin and Moro took to long-range shots — both attempts flew higher. The visitors could have succeeded during the corner kick - Leshchuk made a brilliant save after Gorshkov’s dangerous header.

After the interval Dynamo coaching staff renewed the attack fielding Tyukavin instead of Grulyov and N’Jie instead of Fomin. The Moscow side controlled the ball but sometimes missed the visitors’ terrific counterattacks. In one of them Sergeyev was sent through, unselfishly opted to slide to Yezhov, but the goalscorer dragged his first time effort into the side netting.

The late attempt came as a result of N’Jie’s actions who prepared a goalscoring situation for Zakharyan. However, Dynamo teenage star fired over the crossbar.

Dynamo remain second with 19 points in the table. In the next round match, the White-Blues will play away against Spartak on October 16.
