Igor Leshchuk: After the second goal it became easier to play

# Igor Leschuk

Dynamo goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk answered questions after the Russian Cup match against Nizhny Novgorod (3:0).

— The goalkeeper can face some difficulties, when his team has tangible advantage in ball possession. But you played very well, making two saves in a row in the second half. How did you keep concentration?

— It was difficult to keep concentration in this game as a whole. Every time I reminded myself that I needed to be at the ready. In general, there was one shot from an angle – not so dangerous. In the second episode, a cross from the left wing happened. I kicked the ball with my fist, because Nizhny Novgorod players were ready for rebound. I didn’t want to drop the ball in front of me.

— Cup matches are especially difficult. There is no room for mistake in the playoffs. Did you feel responsible when you came to the pitch?

— In the first half, it was felt – both in our game and in the game of Nizhny Novgorod. But after the second goal scored, it became easier to play, it was calmer.

— Nizhny Novgorod are an opponent that knows how to play in defense. Are three goals scored an unexpected result?

— I wouldn't say unexpected. Taking the first half into consideration, I thought we were unlikely to score three goals. The opponents stood on the defensive well.

— When Sylvester Igboun appeared on the pitch, were you worried? There is a sad tendency that former players score against us.

— When Sylvester came to the pitch, I thought about it a little bit (smiles). On the contrary, there was an additional motivation not to let the former Dynamo player score.

— You came back to the home ground a few months later. What feelings have you experienced from a new meeting with the fans?

— Thank you to all the fans for coming. There was a good capacity for a weekday. Come more often. We will be glad to see you.
