The 25-year-old goalkeeper signed a new four-year contract with the club. Leshchuk's previous agreement would have expired by the summer of 2023.
Igor is a prospect of the Lev Yashin Dynamo Football Academy. He made his debut for the first team on May 10, 2017 in an away game against FC Sokol Saratov (3:0).

Dynamo are my native club. I've been here since I was 9 years old, so I didn't want to go anywhere. After talking to the coaches, I confirmed my opinion to stay at the club. I will train hard to prove that I am worthy of becoming the main goalkeeper. My goal is to win the championship together with Dynamo and perform as well as possible in European cups.
