Sandro Schwarz: «Tyukavin's goals are fruits of our training sessions»

Dynamo Head Coach Sandro Schwarz commented on the first friendly match of the team at the second VTB training camp.

– We faced a very good team, which are already coming to the final stage of their pre-season. The first half turned out to be difficult. However, we managed to score twice. We played better in the second half, but we couldn't keep the winning score. At the same time, we created a lot of chances, did not convert a penalty.

– What did you like the most about today's match?

– In the first half, we scored two goals exactly after those actions that we trained. In the second half we organized high pressure, it worked very well and allowed us to break the opponent’s early attacks.

– And what disappointed you about the performance of the team?

– We weren't enough aggressive in the first half. We dropped deep when tackling the ball. It allowed our opponent to play the ball. There were also problems with compactness.

– Did you enjoy the quality of play in the second half?

– Yes, we played a lot in defense in the first half, but we won this half by 2:1 thanks to two fast counterattacks. In the second half, Sparta threatened less our goal, we played aggressively, tackled the ball on the opponent's half of the pitch, although we lost this half.

– Why didn't you try to vary the playing structure during the match?

– We did not set such a goal. Our goal was to provide all the guys with practice, preferably in optimal or close positions. Our basic tactical formation suited this perfectly.

– How would you comment on Fabian Balbuena's debut?

– First of all, I want to congratulate him on his first match for Dynamo. He has been training with us for only three days, and, of course, it was not easy for him. From my side, I think that his debut was a success.
