The national team of Russia will play three qualifying encounters of the 2022 World Cup against Croatia (September 1, Moscow), Cyprus (September 4, Nicosia) and Malta (September 7, Moscow).

Arsen Zakharyan was previously called up to the Euro 2020 preparation camp of the Russian national team, but he did not enter the final squad due to a sore throat. Konstantin Tyukavin received his first call-up to the senior national team. Denis Makarov and Daniil Fomin were in the Russia's squad for the European Championship.
