He was one of the top goalkeepers of the 1980s and early 1990s. Due to the fact that several coaches worked at Dynamo during this period, he struggled to become the club's leading goalkeeper. Thanks to his persistence and patience, he became the main goalkeeper and even the team captain. His calmness on the field always inspired confidence in his teammates.
His main qualities were his well-established goalkeeping technique, excellent reaction, and athleticism. He stood out more when playing one-on-one with his selfless and decisive actions.
After Dynamo, he moved to Israel, where he was repeatedly recognized as the best football player and became a champion. Since 1998, he has worked as a goalkeeper coach, including on the coaching staff of the Israeli national team.
