One of the best Russian defenders of the 2000s. He started his football career as a striker, but over time he retrained into a central defender with an outstanding shot.
He could hold off almost any rival in personal defense. Thanks to his technique and well-placed shot, he often executed free kicks and penalties. He had a great first pass, so he often started Dynamo attacks.
Unfortunately for many fans, by the end of his career, he began to suffer serious injuries, which caused him to lose ground. After completing his career as a player, he took up coaching. Now he is a member of Andrey Karpovich's coaching staff at the Kazakhstan football club Elimai.
