The encounter against Fakel became special for the long-time leader of the White-Blues. The 36-year-old goalkeeper registered his 300th match in the Russian elite division and the 359th one in Dynamo jersey in all tournaments.
Now Anton takes the third place in the entire club's history, leaving Lev Yashin behind (358). There are only two Dynamo famous defenders ahead – Aleksandr Makhovikov (363) and Aleksandr Novikov (395).
— It was very difficult to catch up with Lev Ivanovich. Of course, this is a great achievement for me, — Anton said after the Fakel match. — I am delighted to overtake the greatest goalkeeper in football history. I tried not to think about it. My thoughts were only about the game, harsh weather conditions and a tough opponent.
According to another category – the number of seasons as a part of Dynamo first team – Shunin is already second (17), staying behind Lev Ivanovich (19). In the current world ranking of football players' loyalty, Anton remains 19th. But if we consider only the top leagues, he is again the second – immediately after Igor Akinfeyev.
In Russian championships, Anton became the 49th footballer to play in 300 matches. By the way, Fedor Smolov and Sergey Parshivlyuk have reached this landmark earlier this season. But Shunin played all the matches for one team – only Akinfeyev, Vyacheslav Malafeyev and Guilherme can boast of such an achievement from this list.
Our number one finished exactly every third game in the RPL with a clean sheet, which allowed him to climb to 25th place in Lev Yashin Club standings (113 clean sheets). He has already passed Roman Berezovskiy, who helped him to adapt to the first team. There are two more former Dynamo goalkeepers ahead – Vladimir Gabulov (119) and Vladimir Pilguy (120).
Anton's favorite rivals are CSKA (10 clean sheets), Rostov (9), Zenit and Krylya Sovetov (7 clean sheets against both of them). There are chances to improve personal statistics in the second part of this season against the last three.
As a part of Dynamo, Shunin is a two-time winner of the tournament for reserve teams. He won bronze medals of the Russian championship twice and reached the National Cup final (also two times). Anton has always confirmed that his football dream is to win a trophy with Dynamo. We wish him to achieve this goal as soon as possible!
