Anton Shunin
Dynamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin summed up the opener with Rostov (1:1) and noted the coaching approach of new manager Slaviša Jokanović.
— During the match we created chances and had to double the lead, but we couldn’t. The ending was not easy for us. We must pay tribute to Rostov, because they controlled the ball well. When we took possession of it, we managed to run into fast counterattacks.
— What did Slaviša Jokanović say in the dressing room, when the game was over?
— During the pre-season we were waiting for the coach in the dressing room after one friendly game. When Slaviša came, he said: «Let's talk tomorrow, because immediately after the match I am very emotional and I can say something wrong». Therefore, we agreed on talking in a quiet time, when the first emotions went away. Today he briefly recommended not hanging our noses. This is just the beginning of the tournament, everything is still ahead.
— Did the head coach explain his decision to give the captain's armband to Daniil Fomin?
— It would be more correct if he explains this decision himself. Slaviša simply announced that Fomin would be the captain. This is his personal choice. Did it surprise me? Let's just say I was surprised, but I respect the coach and any of his decisions.
— Can you compare Slaviša Jokanović and Sandro Schwarz’ approaches? Is there something similar?
— Jokanović said that there are things that we will keep, and there are aspects that we will change. Pressure and intensity will remain. Every coach has his own vision.
— Are Dynamo ready to chase the first place this season?
— We have to go from game to game, and then we'll see. My personal goals are to come out on the pitch and win.
