Dynamo goalkeeper Anton Shunin spoke about three consecutive matches against Krylya Sovetov, a hard conversation in the dressing room and his wish to play for the Russian national team again.
— Three-game streak with Krylya Sovetov turned out to be exhausting. Are you satisfied with the final result?
— It so happened that we lost once, conceding in the end. And today we won by scoring in added time. I would like to note that we managed to beat Krylya twice in RPL this season.
— How did Dynamo change the game in the second half?
— First of all, we talked in the dressing room. Secondly, the guys wanted to rehabilitate themselves for the first half, in which we played badly. Everyone understood that. The Samara side played aggressively during the first half, and in the second, perhaps, they ran out of forces. We really wanted to score. It's good that we managed to do it by the end and win this game.
— It seems that Dynamo put away Krylya Sovetov finally.
— It's hard to say definitely. We had a serious conversation in the dressing room. After the break, we went to the pitch in order to change the situation.
— On March 23, the Russian national team will play a friendly match with Iran, and then will face Iraq. Do you expect to get a call-up to the national team?
— I think any player expects to be called up to the national team. I always set a goal to be among the best and do everything to get into the national team. And it doesn't matter who we have to play against.
— Yevgeny Frolov announced recently that he was going to play for another 10 years. Can you imagine that you will be playing until the age of 45?
— As long as I feel that I can help the team, as long as I have strength and my contract still lasts, I will play. There is no point in talking about age, I feel great, I train hard, I try to demonstrate good game. It is clear that sometimes there are mistakes, but only the one who does nothing is not mistaken. For my part, I will work hard as I do all my life, and help the team become better.
