The 2026 World Cup qualifiers have been held in South America. Jorge Carrascal helped Colombia to earn six points in two important matches against Brazil (2:1) and Paraguay (1:0). In the return match, Luis came out as a starter and opened the score thanks to an accurate free kick. As a result, his team secured a 2:0 win, after which Mexico survived in a penalty shootout.

The Israeli national team played 4 qualifying matches for the 2024 European Championship against Kosovo (0:1), Switzerland (1:1), Romania (1:2) and Andorra (2:0).
