Dynamo Moscow central midfielder Daniil Fomin won the annual prize by the Komsomolskaya Pravda media group. It is awarded to a football player who was noted for his impeccable behavior on the pitch, attitude to teammates, fans and journalists.
Daniil entered the top three (along with Fedor Chalov and Aleksandr Selikhov) according to the results of the popular vote. Then, he was named the winner by the jury members' decision – 7 out of 10 experts put him in first place.
Previously, the prestigious prize that is awarded since 1994, was won by six Dynamo players: Omari Tetradze (1994), Dmitry Bulykin (2003), Igor Semshov (2008), Vladimir Gabulov (2009), Dmitry Khokhlov (2010) and Andrey Voronin (2011).
The official ceremony will be held in Moscow in November. During this event the White-Blues' captain will get a black jacket.
