Denis Makarov: My goal is to work for national team success

— A call-up to the national team is always a special moment, so I am very glad that the new coaching staff believed in me. Now my goal is to work for the national team success. I found out about the call-up quite simply: when a list of invited players appeared, I saw my name, and immediately my relatives and friends started flooding me with messages.

Of course, I always want to play at the highest level, defend the colors of my country, help it achieve success, glorify Russia. I hoped and believed that I would have this chance. Thank you to the coaching staff of the national team for their trust, for the opportunity to help the team. I will give my everything to achieve the best result.

When I joined Dynamo, I said that one of my goals was to get into the national team. But it does not mean that this goal has now been realized. I am going to the national team not to relax, but to help them achieve goals.
