Dynamo left-back Diego Laxalt told about hard work at VTB training camps and the comeback win over Borac (3:2).
— Games are always difficult at training camps, because the team usually plays after hard training sessions. Today's victory should add to our positivity. We faced a serious opponent. The Bosnians opened the score, became more confident on the pitch and played the whole match well.
— What do you think about the unusual format of this match, which consisted of two halves of 60 minutes each?
— It's part of our job. We have a lot of players at the training camp, and everyone should get playing time. It's difficult to distribute it in 90 minutes. So the more minutes we spend on the pitch in friendlies, the better we will be prepared for the restart of the season.
— Were you upset not to face your former Genoa teammate Nikola Ninkovic on the pitch?
— Yes, it so happened that he played in the first half, and I played in the second one. But never mind, after the game I will definitely talk to him and we will recall the good old days.
— Can you compare the training camps under Slavisa Jokanovic and Sandro Schwarz? What are the main differences?
— As for fitness, there are not so many differences. Moreover, the part of the coaching staff remained unchanged. There are differences in training ball handling and tactics. In any case, we have to give our best to get in the best shape for the restart of the championship.
— At the beginning of the attack you often played high in the midfield zone today. Was it the coach's plan?
— It is part of my job as a wingback. I must not only play in defense, but also join the attacks actively. So I play on the situation, and when there is an opportunity, I move higher.
— What are your goals for the second part of the season?
— Of course, we want to climb as high as possible in the table. And now we are working hard at training camps and following all the instructions of the head coach. We have to think every day about our game improvement to prove on the pitch that we deserve the highest spot.
