Dynamo defeated by Rubin in Kazan

The matchday 28 fixture was held at the Ak Bars Arena on Saturday and brought a disappointing result (0:2) for the White-Blues.

Sandro Schwarz made five changes to the starting line-up after the match against Khimki. Yevgenyev returned to the first eleven after missing the previous fixture due to suspension. Skopintsev came out in the starting squad for the first time since March. Moro took the place of the defensive midfielder. Lesovoy, N'Jie and Grulyov formed the attacking trio.

Dynamo started very actively and didn’t let the hosts leave their half of the pitch. In the 4th minute, Lesovoy shifted from the left wing and struck a powerful blow from the corner of the penalty area. Dyupin tipped the ball into the crossbar. After that, Clinton found Grulyov in the center of the penalty area, but again the Kazan goalkeeper denied Dynamo’s attempt.

The danger arose several times after the crosses from corners performed by Szymanski: twice Fomin failed to succeed at the far post, then Dyupin won his second duel against Grulyov.

Rubin responded with a dangerous free kick by Hwang In-beom. And then came an unexpected goal. In the 15th minute Zotov made a cross into the penalty area, Despotović handled the ball well and hit the far corner – 0:1.

The hosts began to play more tightly, and Dynamo players switched to long-range shots which lacked accuracy. Grulev entered the penalty box and struck, but the hero of the first half Dyupin easily took the ball.

Five minutes after the break, the White-Blues got an unexpected advantage. Samoshnikov rolled into Szymanski’s shin in a dangerous tackle. After watching the video replay, the referee showed him a red card. Rubin buttoned up on their half of the pitch.

Soon Schwarz made the first changes releasing Zakharyan and Tyukavin. Immediately, Arsen made a witty pass to Lesovoy, but Daniil's cross turned out to be inaccurate. Then Konstantin didn't manage to hit the rebound ball after Lesovoy’s curling strike and another save by Dyupin.

After two additional substitutions Dynamo switched to a scheme with three centre-backs, copying the formation used in the match against Krasnodar. The Muscovites began to make more crosses into the penalty box, but the home side defense coped with this pressure.

Ten minutes before the end of the match, Dyupin delivered the ball to Dynamo’s half of the pitch, Neustädter flicked unsuccessfully back to Shunin, Hwang In-beom picked up the ball and doubled the lead – 0:2.

The White-Blues remained 7th in standings with 46 points. Next week Dynamo will play against Lokomotiv in Khimki.
