Grulyov's brace helps Dynamo thrash Khimki

The encounter of the RPL twelfth round that was held at the VTB Arena, ended in a 4:1 blowout victory in Dynamo’s favor.

On the eve of the match, Sandro Schwarz had to decide how to substitute the disqualified Sebastian Szymanski who had received the fourth yellow card in the previous game. As a result, Zakharyan settled in the midfield together with Fomin, Tyukavin took the centre-forward position, while Grulyov shifted to the left channel. Balbuena returned to the starting lineup. At Khimki, both leaders Glushakov and Kukharchuk remained on the bench that curtailed the Moscow region team’s power in attack.

On the day commemorating the legendary Lev Yashin, Dynamo took the advantage immediately after the kick-off. And the lead came soon. Moro made a touch of fortune by his head disappointing Lantratov who previously kept three consecutive clean sheets. Dynamo continued to increase pressure, forcing their opponents to make mistakes. Seven minutes after the interval, Dynamo organized a cool attack through the middle, Fomin sauntered forward unopposed towards the penalty area, and slipped a simple ball between Igor Danilkin and Maksim Karpov, leaving Tyukavin room and time to beat the goalkeeper – 3:0.

The Muscovites did not stop for a second. One of the heroes of the encounter Grulyov celebrated a brace, when his low shot exploded through Ilya Lantratov’s legs for the fourth. In his turn, Zakharyan registered a hat-trick of assists.

Dynamo players maintained the necessary pace and will to run forward developing success. In one episode Gladyshev who debuted in the RPL fired over the crossbar from outside the penalty box. At the very end, the Moscow region side managed to prevent the White-Blues from the clean sheet. Kemal Ademi sent the ball in from a few yards out after a low cross by Nabiullin.

Dynamo earned 23 points and are at the top with Zenit, against whom Sandro Schwarz’ team will play in the RPL next round on October 29.
