The encounter of the Mir Russian Premier League 5th round that was held at VTB Arena, ended in a 2:1 win for the hosts.

There was one change in Dynamo starting eleven – Denis Makarov replaced Vyacheslav Grulev on the right wing. The number 77 earned his chance by scoring a nice goal against Baltika in the previous round.

In support of coach's trust Makarov was one of the most active players at the beginning of the match. He made low crosses often trying to find Konstantin Tyukavin or Fedor Smolov in a favorable position inside the penalty box. One chance turned out to be ideal. However, Makarov fired wide capitalising on an unexpected ricochet.

The visitors opened the score in their first serious attack. Kirill Glebov assisted on Maksim Mukhin, whose attempt has been denied by Anton Shunin. His namesake Zabolotny succeeded on rebound and headed the ball home.

After the goal both sides began to play at high speed despite the stuffy heat set in in Moscow. Smolov tested his luck from distance while CSKA had two promising attempts to double their lead. Anton Shunin saved the hosts by palming the ball away after Sasa Zdjelar's long-range strike. Then Willyan Rocha missed the target after Ivan Oblyakov's corner kick.

Dynamo started the second half effectively and equalised soon. Tyukavin intercepted the ball and let Nicolas Ngamaleu shoot past Vladislav Torop without any resistance.

Inspired by this success, Dynamo players tried to take the lead. Tyukavin was unlucky in one of the episodes, when Rocha managed to clear the ball. Shunin stayed vigilant by the end of the game. Our goalkeeper won two duels with Fedor Chalov and kept the clean sheet in the second half.

When ten minutes to the final whistle remained, Dynamo earned a decisive penalty. Dmitry Skopintsev struck into the far corner and Zabolotny, coming back for the set-piece, played handball inside the box. Smolov converted a penalty leaving no chance for Torop.

Dynamo collected 10 points and climbed to the third place in standings. In the next match the White-Blues will face Rubin on the road on Saturday, August 26.
