The regular time of the Fonbet Russian Cup 4th round match ended in a 1:1 draw. The game was held in Krasnodar at Krasnodar Stadium.

Marcel Licka made several interesting changes concerning the starting eleven in the Cup match against Krasnodar: young Stanislav Bessmertnyi and Aleksandr Kutitsky closed two wings, while Bitello came to the midfield together with Diego Laxalt. Jorge Carrascal got the playmaking role.

The Colombian started the match actively earning an early corner kick for Dynamo. Soon Kutitsky made a solo run down the left channel and tested Stanislav Agkatsev from distance. The Krasnodar side responded with Kevin Lenini's attempt, who fired wide from the dangerous position.

Dynamo played effectively in the first half creating many chances. Agkatsev played at goal like a squirrel in a cage. He saved the Bulls after Yaroslav Gladyshev's and Daniil Lesovoy's shots but was helpless, when Bitello showed his Brazilian skills and rolled the ball to the near bottom corner. The former Gremio midfielder scored his debut goal in Dynamo jersey.

Dynamo players could have scored the second one on emotions. Gladyshev sent the ball next to the bar. After this episode, the hosts seized the initiative and created a dangerous chance: Ilzat Akhmetov found Mikhailo Banjac in the penalty area, and Igor Leshchuk had to make a save in a jump after the Serbian midfielder's powerful strike.

An excellent first half ended with two more saves by Agkatsev. First, Roberto Fernandez closed Carrascal's cross from a free kick, and a little later Lesovoy fired from 23 meters. That day Dynamo players were more accurate than their opponents shooting on goal 7 times out of 8 attempts.

When the second half began, Gladyshev played brightly twice. His first shot went wide, then Yaroslav stole the ball from Lucas Olaza in the center of the pitch and finished his run with a nice shot under the crossbar. Dynamo were awarded with a corner after Agkatsev's one more save. In the 58th minute, Krasnodar came close to an equaliser: Leshchuk denied a shot by Moses Kobnan, after which Aleksandr Koksharov was first on rebound. It seemed to be a goal, but Laxalt and Balbuena cleared the ball off the goal line.

Licka refreshed the offensive line by fielding Konstantin Tyukavin, Nicolas Ngamaleu and Luis Chavez at once. Meanwhile, the hosts scored a comeback goal: Banjac assisted on Kadi Borges from the left wing and the Brazilian winger drilled the ball into the left corner. The Krasnodar side organized two more chances, but Sergey Volkov and Kevin Lenini were not successful that day.

After two substitutions, when Fedor Smolov and Nicholas Marichal appeared on the pitch, Dynamo managed to slow down the attacking rush of the Bulls. As a result, the encounter finished with a penalty shootout, in which Tyukavin and Smolov did not realize their attempts, and Leshchuk made one save – 2:4.

After four rounds, the White-Blues collected 5 points and remained second in the group D. In the next match that will be held on September 23, Dynamo will face Spartak on the road in the RPL derby.
