The encounter of the Mir Russian Premier League 28th round that was held at Luzhniki Stadium, ended in a 3:0 win for the White-Blues.
In his first match as Dynamo caretaker manager Pavel Alpatov mixed up the starting lineup fundamentally. Igor Leshchuk stayed in the goal, while Sergey Parshivlyuk took the position of the right-back. Nicholas Marichal and Aleksandr Kutitsky formed the centre-back tandem. Dynamo players came to the pitch wearing symbolic T-shirts in support of Milan Majstorovic, who had suffered a serious knee injury during the previous matchday.
For the first time since October, Fedor Smolov and Konstantin Tyukavin started the match together. And this tactics turned out to be successful: less than two minutes after the kick-off, Dmitry Skopintsev interplayed well with Smolov on the left wing and made a perfect low cross to Tyukavin, who converted it brilliantly from a few meters away.
When scoring a goal, Dynamo players continued to spend a lot of time in attack. Mathias Normann hit the far post from outside the penalty area, and then the Norwegian midfielder found Tyukavin being in a nice position. Konstantin rolled the ball to Smolov, but the experienced striker has been blocked by the opponent.
Sometimes the Torpedo side managed to create dangerous chances due to Ilya Stefanovich's active actions. In two episodes Leshchuk won duels over the centre-forward of the Black-Whites and didn't let the hosts equalise.
In the middle of the first half, Zakharyan repeated his magic strike from the first round match, but this time a curled long-range shot came to the crossbar. On the 36th minute, Vasily Kazartsev showed a straight red card to Arsen for a rough tackle against David Karayev. It is good that the VAR referees intervened in time, and after watching the video replay, Kazartsev changed his mind and took the yellow card away from his pocket. Soon the referee made another controversial decision, not penalising Torpedo goalkeeper Yegor Baburin, who took the ball in his hands after the defender's pass.
By the half-time whistle, the White-Blues doubled their lead. Zakharyan broke through the left wing and assisted on Gladyshev. Yaroslav needed two touches to trap the ball and send it past the keeper of the hosts.
Arsen continued to be in the spotlight after the break. At first, he could benefit from the clever cross of Parshivlyuk, and few minutes later Zakharyan succeeded on rebound extending the visitors' lead. Then, the talented playmaker found Tyukavin in the penalty area, but Baburin managed to deny a powerful strike.
After this episode, Dynamo young leaders left for Vyacheslav Grulev and Nicolas Ngamaleu. The teams continued to exchange chances and in this football the White-Blues were much closer to score one more goal.
After a number of substitutions inside both teams, the game lost its intense rhythm, and Dynamo players brought the match to a comfortable victory, extending the winless streak in the derby to 7 games. Pavel Alpatov's men earned 45 points and climbed to the intermediate sixth spot in the table. The White-Blues will play their next RPL match against Lokomotiv at VTB Arena on May 28.
