# VTB Training Camp

The third friendly game at final VTB traning camp ended with a 1:1 draw.

Sandro Schwarz fielded a mixed starting lineup. Young goalkeeper Ivan Budachyov appeared at goal for the first time at winter camps. Denis Osokin started as a centre-back, while Yaroslav Gladyshev emerged on the right wing. The talented youngster found a good chemistry with the club's returnee Fedor Smolov in recent matches and tried to improve their mutual understanding on the football pitch.

The captain's armband came to Sebastian Szymanski, who had additional motivation in front of the Polish national team new manager Czesław Michniewicz. Under his stewardship, Seba has already played for Poland U-21. And now he can be called up to the 2022 World Cup play-off match against Russia in March.

At the beginning of the game, Dynamo used their traditional pressure, forcing opponents to lose balls on their own half of the pitch. Gladyshev played an active role in the White-Blues' formation bringing some troubles to RFS keeper Vytautas Černiauskas.

But in the 22nd minute, the visitors took the lead unexpectedly: Tomislav Šarić assisted to Andrej Ilić, who fired from distance into the bottom right corner. Dynamo players could have equalized soon. However, the Lithuanian goalkeeper looked solid denying Gladyshev and Fomin’s attempts.

Budachyov also wasn’t out of job. From time to time he demonstrated his skills charming Dynamo fans who gathered at the stands of the Arcadia Sport Resort. By the interval, Ivan made a brilliant save pulling the ball out of the top corner after Ilić’s header.

For the second half, new players came in action, while Budachyov got the opportunity to play the entire match. The White-Blues needed less than two minutes to square the game. Arsen Zakharyan converted Dmitry Skopintsev’s accurate cross into the far bottom corner – 1:1.

Immediately, the Riga side could capitalise on Deniss Rakeļs’ effort who hit the far post with a curling strike.

In the 67th minute, a long-awaited event took place. For the first time since July, Daniil Lesovoy came on the pitch, having fully recovered from an injury. The midfielder’s appearance was greeted with a burst of applause by about a hundred of Dynamo fans.

In the end of the game, the White-Blues could pull out a victory. Denis Makarov intercepted the ball, entered the penalty area and shot into the far corner, but almost missed. Dynamo registered the first draw at 2022 winter training camps.

In the next match, our team will face Vendsyssel FF from the Danish second tier. The friendly will be held on February 15 (5 p.m.) and will be broadcasted live on Dynamo TV.
