The encounter of the Mir Russian Premier League 24th round, which was held in Yekaterinburg, ended in a 2:1 win for the hosts.
In comparison with the last week derby, Marcel Licka made one change to the squad – Igor Leshchuk ceded his starting spot to Anton Shunin. Even on the bench, the list of players turned out to be completely identical.
The hosts, who are struggling to save their place in the RPL, were extremely active at the beginning of the encounter. Aleksey Kashtanov and Emmerson headed twice on target within the first 5 minutes, forcing Shunin to demonstrate his skills. Immediately, Eric Bicfalvi fired into the corner, and Anton shined again saving the team. In the 10th minute, the Ural side still achieved its goal – Ilya Ishkov crossed from a corner, the ball flew out of the penalty box, from where Daniel Miskic drilled it into the bottom left corner.
Having conceded, Dynamo players seized the initiative and pushed the opponents to their goal. However, the first shot on target had to be waited until the 26th minute, when Luis Chavez struck from behind the penalty area by his right foot – it turned out to be not very dangerous. The Yekaterinburg side looked careful on its own half, practically preventing Dynamo from finding free zones.
But the White-Blues benefited from their very first chance: Diego Laxalt made a smart pass to Tyukavin. Kostya ran into the penalty box and hammered the ball into the top corner of Ilya Pomazun's goal! The remaining time of the first half the teams spent by struggling in the midfield.
The second half started in the same manner with lots of tackles all over the pitch. The Ural side managed to threaten from another set-piece. Emmerson won an aerial duel, and Laxalt cleared the ball practically out of the goal line. Dynamo responded with a corner kick, from which Roberto Fernandez shot over the crossbar.
Already in the 59th minute, Licka made the first change in the line-up: Nicholas Marichal was replaced by Eli Dasa on the right wing of defense. A little later, Daniil Fomin came to the pitch instead of Nicolas Ngamaleu, while Jorge Carrascal moved to the wing.
However, Dynamo wing play was not particularly successful in this match, and the danger mainly came from set-pieces. After a corner kick, Chavez flicked the ball with his heel to Tyukavin, and only Pomazun's timely jump saved Ural from troubles. The next corner gave Fomin a chance, but the Dynamo central midfielder shot wide from a favorable position. Finally, Chavez capitalised on a nice cross from Carrascal and volleyed the ball into the post.
The hosts also strove to grab a victory, and at one point Kashtanov failed to hit the target from five meters. Yet, it was destined for him to become the hero of the game. First, the centre-forward of the Ural team received a yellow card for dangerous play against Shunin, and in the 5th minute of added time, he scored the winning goal from the penalty line. Kashtanov celebrated this goal frenetically and was shown the second yellow card for taking off his shirt.
Dynamo continue to stay third on 38 points in the league table. In the next match, the White-Blues will play against Orenburg on the road in the Fonbet Russian Cup Regions' Path semifinals on Wednesday, April 17th.
