Fabian Balbuena: The whole team deserves the man of the match award

— You had an incredible long journey to Krasnodar – 40 hours! And now you are the man of the match. Where did you get this strength?

— I am happy for the confidence of the coach, for the confidence of my teammates. We did a great job and I think we deserved the three points.

— You were really surprised when you became the man of the match. Why?

— It's not that I was surprised. I think that if one player deserves the man of the match, then the whole team deserves it, too, because everyone ran, tried to score a goal. I think the whole team deserves this prize because we are all playing together and running together towards our target.

— Your individual results were great – you won all the duels. Is this because of the understanding that this victory is very important for us?

— Of course! We are moving towards our goal. We want to play well in order to win titles because we know that Dynamo didn’t win them for a long time. We all work very hard together every day to get better and better. And we knew that the game would be hard. As I said before, all the guys did a great job to win the three points.

— The second half turned out to be more difficult. Why?

— We played against a good team. Of course, when you are losing by 0:1 at home, you have to play higher. And we played trying to keep the clean sheet and to win the match. And we did it well. We did everything necessary. At the same time we raced to the attack and tried to score the second goal. Unfortunately, we couldn't score, but we kept the 1:0 and secured three points.

— There is a still long way back home – 10 hours by bus and plane. Are the emotions of victory worth it?

— Of course! When you win, you feel great emotions. There is a long way ahead, but we are full of happiness from victory.
