Dynamo striker Fedor Smolov shared his emotions from winning the BetBoom Brother's Cup and playing together with Kevin Kuranyi and Vladimir Rykov.
— Last time Kevin Kuranyi and you went out on the pitch together 9 years ago. Did you feel nostalgia before the start of the match?
— Of course, I did. Kevin is a great football player and a person. We are always glad to see him here. Thank him for coming and not forgetting Dynamo.
— At the beginning of the training camp, you worked on an individual program. How do you feel now after 75 minutes on the pitch?
— It is clear that this is only a stage of preparation, and my physical conditions are not perfect yet. Moreover, we have serious workloads. The most important thing is that I was not worried about the injury, because of which I trained on an individual program. So everything is fine.
— Why didn't the team start the game well, but improved its play so much in the second half?
— It's hard to say. I think that we are going through restructuring our game. Perhaps somewhere we do not fully understand all the requirements and make mistakes in simple situations. That's what friendly matches are for, in order to work on all these aspects and then do homework.
— Did you like Vladimir Rykov's appearance by the end of the match?
— Volodya Rykov is a real legend, three exclamation marks!!!
— Did you like the format of the Brother's Cup in general?
