Dynamo Moscow and Lokomotiv Moscow have reached an agreement on the transfer of the Russian national team centre-forward Fedor Smolov.
The day before, the 31-year-old striker successfully passed a medical examination and signed a 1.5-year contract with one more year option. On Wednesday, Fedor joined Dynamo, which left for Qatar to the first training camp.
Smolov has already defended our club’s colours for eight years, while going several times on loan to Feyenoord Rotterdam, Anzhi Makhachkala and Ural Yekaterinburg. He also performed for Krasnodar and the Spanish side Celta Vigo on loan from Lokomotiv.
Smolov is a two-time Russian Cup holder (2018/19, 2020/21) and a Super cup holder (2019). He became twice the top scorer of the Russian Premier League (2015/16, 2016/17) and was named the best footballer of the year according to the RFU (2016 и 2018).
