The meeting of the 10th round of the Russian Premier League World, held in Makhachkala, ended with a score of 1:0
Against the combative Makhachkala players, Marcel Licka, four nominal central defenders were fielded: Nicolás Marichal played on the right side of defense, and Roberto Fernández on the left. The defensive midfield was covered by Daniil Fomin and Aleksandr Kutitskiy, who performed well in the derby against Spartak. The second half of the first half passed with territorial advantage for the home team, who were trying to catch up. Makhachkala players actively used the flanks, but Andrey Lunyov and our defenders reigned in the penalty area. In one of the counterattacks, Konstantin Tyukavin skillfully handled a long pass and struck at the near corner, forcing David Volk to make a spectacular save. However, the referees subsequently recorded an offside.
The second half began with a dangerous moment at Lunyov's goal — Abakar Gadzhiev burst into the penalty area and powerfully struck above the near nine. The Muscovites responded with a good attack, in which Tyukavin dealt well with two opponents, but the ball after his strike went well above the crossbar
Strong wind and a rather high percentage of errors in passes nullified all the attacking efforts of the players. Tyukavin even tried to throw the opposing goalkeeper from his half of the field — Volk managed to return to the goal frame.
In the 72nd minute, there was a long-awaited return of Laxalt, who replaced Fomin in the center of the field. Immediately, the blue-and-whites forgave their opponent: after a corner kick, Tyukavin hit from close range — Volk deflected the ball in front of him, after which Temirkan Sundukov rushed under the finishing blow from Maystrovich from 3 meters, saving his team.
During the remaining time, the guests competently stopped the attacking impulses of Makhachkala residents, who only dealt one shot on target at Lunev's goal, which Andrey confidently caught.
