The encounter of the Mir Russian Premier League sixth round that was held at VTB Arena ended in a 1:0 win for the White-Blues.

Diego Laxalt and Fedor Smolov were forced to miss the game for medical reasons. The coaching staff chose Konstantin Tyukavin, Arsen Zakharyan and Denis Makarov as an attacking trio.

Spartak vs Dynamo, and the stadium is full, – the popular performer Valery Syutkin has sung a few minutes before the start of the match. This fact could be confirmed practically. There were no empty seats in the stands. 25 249 spectators set a new attendance record at VTB Arena. Two teams did not want to disappoint the crowd and picked up a very high pace from the first minutes. The whole Dynamo defense looked great in tackles, but Sergey Parshivlyuk stood out especially in the game against his parent club.

Both sides started exchanging goalscoring chances. Quincy Promes missed the far corner after Roman Zobnin's pass. Dynamo players responded with a fast attack that was finished by Dmitry Skopintsev's impressive dribbling.

In the 27th minute the White-Blues opened the score. Daniil Fomin put pressure on Nail Umyarov and Tyukavin capitalised on the mistake.

Roberto Fernandez played in an ideal way in the first half. The Paraguayan was everywhere, cementing the defensive line and joining the attacks. By the half-time whistle Roberto was close to double the team's lead. He won the posistion inside the penalty box and hit the post.

After the interval Dynamo continued to create chances. Dmitry Skopintsev was a real driver of the visitors' attacks. Following this period of activity Fomin struck into the post converting Arsen Zakharyan's smart assist.

It is worth of remark that a lot of shots produced by Spartak players were blocked by Dynamo defense. The hosts scored the second goal in the middle of the second half. Saba Sazonov succeeded in an aerial duel, Nikola Moro touched the ball slightly which found the net. Unfortunately, the referee flagged for offside. During the next corner kick Sazonov tested the woodwork with a powerful strike.

The ending turned out to be nervous. Moro received two yellow cards in three minutes, leaving the team ten-men. Nevertheless, the visitors failed to create a single serious chance, which secured the White-Blues' first RPL home win over Spartak since 2008.

Dynamo picked up 12 points and climbed into the second spot. In the next round fixture our team will face Pari NN in an away clash on August, 27.
