The encounter of the Mir Russian Premier League twentieth round that was held at Yekaterinburg Arena, ended in a 1:0 win for the White-Blues.
Slavisa Jokanovic couldn't count on seven players on the eve of the match at Ural. Igor Leshchuk benefited from Anton Shunin's absence and became the number one for the second time during this week. Mathias Normann, Arsen Zakharyan and Luka Gagnidze formed a triangle in midfield, while the centre-forward position was taken by Konstantin Tyukavin. It is worth of remark that the 20-year-old striker appeared on the pitch with the captain's armband.
The hosts started off well and took over the initiative. Leshchuk who was at his best after winning the penalty shootout at Zenit looked solid today as well making two good saves after Andrey Yegorychev and Danijel Miskic's efforts.
The Ural side leader Eric Bicfalvi was dangerous as usual. He tried to make the difference once more. The Romanian performed as an assist maker rolling the ball to Denys Kulakov who fired wide. In the next attack Bicfalvi shot wide himself aiming at the near corner.
Gradually, Dynamo players pulled themselves together and came more often to the opponent's half of the pitch. Denis Makarov was very active. Thanks to his interception in the center the White-Blues got a nice chance to score. Zakharyan ran one-on-one with the goalkeeper who managed to make a nice save with the shoulder.
The second half brought another scenario to this encounter. The Muscovites moved the game away from their penalty box and rushed into counterattacks at the first occasion. The wings worked well, where Eli Dasa and Dmitry Skopintsev played the decisive role.
On the 74th minute Dynamo seemed to open the score – Gladyshev cut the defense with a clever pass and Makarov rolled the ball under Pomazun. Unfortunately, the linesman flagged for offside that was really atomic.
The teams continued to exchange chances by the final whistle. Yushin tested Leshchuk from distance. The White-Blues responded with a threatening corner, when Gladyshev's strike has been blocked by Kulakov who stayed on the goal line. However, on the 89th minute Slavisa Jokanovic's men grabbed a victory. Yaroslav won the ball inside the Ural penalty area and shared it with Tyukavin. Konstantin made a false move, which puzzled the defenders, and beat the goalkeeper by the second touch.
Dynamo broke Ural 16-game streak without defeats and remained fourth on 35 points. In the next match the White-Blues will play against Sochi at VTB Arena on April 1.
