The encounter of the Mir Russian Premier League 7th round that was held in Rostov-on-Don, ended in a 2:1 win for the visitors.
In comparison with the previous Dynamo match only the centre-back position underwent changes due to objective reasons. Nicholas Marichal got a red card against Rubin, while Fabian Balbuena left for Paraguay in advance. So, Roberto Fernandez and Sergey Parshivlyuk formed a tandem in the defensive line.
Dynamo could have scored in the first attack. Denis Makarov crossed to the far post, Konstantin Tyukavin, who was playing the hundredth match in the white-blue jersey, assisted on Daniil Fomin but the captain hit the crossbar.
Nicolas Ngamaleu got a painful blow in the first minutes but still returned to the pitch after medical assistance. The Cameroonian started a fast attack which resulted in the game opener. Makarov fired from distance and the ball ricocheted off Viktor Melekhin's leg into the left bottom corner.
The White-Blues looked light-footed and smart creating regular dangerous chances at Rostov goal. Dmitry Skopintsev volleyed the ball from distance. However, the defender prevented the hosts from big troubles. In the next counterattack, Ngamaleu and Smolov brought the ball to Tyukavin, but he slipped on the pitch. Moreover, this was not the first time – apparently, the stadium employees overdid the watering, which was turned on a couple of times even during the match.
In the 34th minute the Rostov side stayed ten-men, when Roman Tugarev fouled on Makarov. The hosts missed the best chance of the match immediately after the red card. Anton Shunin dropped the ball after a high cross but Komlichenko didn't succeed on rebound.
Dynamo doubled their lead by the half-time whistle. Tyukavin made a pass to Ngamaleu. Moumi came to the penalty area, beat the defender and drilled the ball past the goalkeeper. The visitors continued to dominate and Pesyakov denied Fomin's difficult strike being behind defenders' backs.
During the break Marcel Licka surprised the experts by fielding Luis Chavez instead of Parshivlyuk. Following this transformation, Fomin moved to the centre-back position. In his turn, Valery Karpin activated his team's attack with a triple substitution.
Dynamo could close the match scoring the third goal. Tyukavin was able to put his name on the scoresheet. The talented forward made two one-on-one runs with Pesyakov but missed these opportunities, which could facilitate Dynamo task.
When added time approached, Rostov increased pressure on our team. Firstly, Eli Dasa cleared the ball from the empty net and then Grulev scored an own goal. In six minutes the hosts organized a chaotic assault trying to come from behind. The last chance of the match came to Pesyakov but the goalkeeper lacked attacking skills to hit the target with his header.
Dynamo collected 14 points and climbed to the fourth place in the table. In the next round game Marcel Licka's men will face Pari NN at VTB Arena, on Seprember 15.
