We begin to summarize the results of this bright and memorable season. Today we will analyze the statistics of our team, which had one of the best seasons in the Russian period.
Marcel Lichka became the first coach to lead "Dynamo" to medals in the Russian championship in his very first season with the team. In 1994, Konstantin Ivanovich Beskov achieved the same, but he had previously coached the team during the Soviet period.
In the unofficial Moscow championship, Dynamo took second place, only losing to "Spartak".
"Dynamo" won bronze medals in the Russian championships for the sixth time in history and caught up with "Lokomotiv", which had been leading in this indicator.
At the end of the season, Dynamo won six consecutive matches in the Russian championship and equaled the club's record. Previously, this happened twice in 1995, once in 1996, and once in 2012.
The White-Blues repeated the club record for the number of victories (16) and points scored (56) in the Russian championships with 30 rounds.
This time, the Dynamo players performed well in the spring segment and became the best team of the championship in the second round, scoring 31 points.
In total, this season the White-Blues played 41 official matches: 22 victories, 8 draws, and 11 defeats (two in the penalty shootout). The difference between goals scored and conceded is 72:56.
The Dynamo players were the best in the RPL season in terms of created scoring chances (146), shots (440), shots on target (163), passes leading to a shot (310), and expected goals (53.6).
In terms of goals scored, the White-Blues (53) were only behind the army team, and in successful tackles (608), only behind "Fakel" (634). Also, our team took third place in dribbling attempts (773) and fourth in successful dribbles (413).
From set pieces this season in the RPL (excluding penalties), "Dynamo" scored six goals and also conceded six times.
The Dynamo players were second only to "Zenit" in the average length of goal-scoring attacks – 24.8 seconds.
