I came home, sat down with my dad to watch Match TV — they were just announcing the squad of the national team. I was surprised and delighted. I didn't think about anything like that. When I was in the youth team, I said that the main goal was the Russian national team, but I did not think that everything would happen so quickly. I just worked, trained hard, tried to give my everything in matches.

I received a great number of messages. They wrote from my native Kotlas, a lot of friends from Kirov congratulated me, fans from bandy flooded with congratulating messages. I saw everything, it’s very nice.

The national team of Russia will play three qualifying matches of the 2022 World Cup against Croatia (September 1, Moscow), Cyprus (September 4, Nicosia) and Malta (September 7, Moscow).

— I don't want to talk about my chances of playing against Croatia or other national teams. Of course, I would really like it, but at the moment it is more important to feel the atmosphere of the national team, to train with the best football players of our country, to learn something from them — Tyukavin said.
