Best corner kicks and pressing in the league: Dynamo team stats analysis

Dynamo players have not been shown red cards for the first 20 games of the season. Rostov can also boast of this in the RPL, but their striker Maksim Turishchev was sent off in the Russian Cup match against Torpedo.

After the first part of the season, Dynamo remain second in the table. This is the best result of our team when the RPL switched to the classic European autumn-spring format. The last time, the White-Blues finished the first part of the championship in top-3 in December 2014.

Since the start of the season, Sandro Schwarz' team recorded four blowout wins – two in the Premier League and two in the Russian Cup. If we take the season in the FNL out of consideration, the White-Blues knocked out their rivals six times 10 years ago during the transitional season.

Dynamo players scored 6 goals from corner kicks. This is the best result in the league. However, in terms of the number of corners, our team is only the third.

On average, the White-Blues make 22 pressing attempts per match (eleven attempts are successful). According to these results, our team is the best in the RPL staying far ahead of other sides.

Dynamo players scored 33 goals in 18 league matches which is the second result in the league and the fourth in the club's Russian history (39 goals were scored in the 2014/15 season, 36 goals were netted in 1994, 35 goals were bagged in 1992). The White-Blues score most often from the 15th to the 30th minute (9 times) and in the first 15 minutes of the second half (7 times).

Dynamo footballers make an average of 30 rebounds on the opposite half of the pitch, losing only to Akhmat in this category.

Our team earned 36 points after 18 matchdays. Dynamo repeated the best result in the Russian history having taken the same number of points during the 1996 season.

Dynamo are one of the most spirited teams of the Russian Premier League: on average, our players come to 175 tackles per match. According to this category, we are after Ural and Akhmat only.

Active pressing of our team led to 219 interceptions on the opposite half of the pitch. Krasnodar and Ufa were better in this category.

At the same time, the White-Blues are careful on their own half of the pitch: our footballers made 239 ball losses — only Krasnodar have less.

Dynamo players shot 297 times in the RPL matches (110 shots are on goal) – both results are second in the league.

Dynamo earned the right to be called the most attacking side in the championship: the team carried out 1,623 attacks, 304 of them were fast – no one else came to this number in the RPL.

The White-Blues made 365 successful tackles that contributed to the attack organization — this is the 4th result following Ural, Akhmat and Rubin.

Finally, 72,051 spectators attended the team's home matches – this is the second attendance in the league. According to this result, Dynamo are far ahead of other Moscow clubs.
