Georgian central midfielder Luka Gagnidze returned to Dynamo after a one-year loan and told Dynamo TV about his adaptation to Russian football, preferred position on the pitch and favorite football player.

— During your career, you have played as a defensive, central or attacking midfielder. In which position do you feel more comfortable?

— I feel comfortable in any of these positions. I will play where my benefit will be the greatest to the team.

— Last season, you played outside Georgia for the first time in your career. How did you adapt to the new country?

— I lived alone before that, so everything was familiar to me. Of course, Russia is a different country, and I had to get used to it a little. But now I have fully adapted, and everything is fine.

— Have you already made progress in learning Russian?

— I devote all my time to football, so I don't have time to study the language yet. I am learning some words communicating with the guys. When they talk, I understand them.

— You are on good terms with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was the main dribbler of the Russian Premier League. Now he has left for Italy. How are you doing with dribbling? Do you have any favorite trick?

— Unlike Khvicha, I have no desire to outrun the whole team and show everyone my dribbling skills. I always follow the situation. I make assists more often, and I don’t have any favourite trick.

— You can shoot well with both feet, which is rare for a young football player. Have you purposefully trained a left-footed shot?

— I would say that my right foot is slightly better – 60 by 40. Of course, I also train the left one, because a modern football player in my position should be able to play equally well with both feet.

— Which of the players will you mark in world football playing in your position?

— I like Thiago Alcántara from Liverpool.
