Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the victorious Cup fixture against Pari NN (2:1).
— I am very happy that we finished the group stage in second place. The team gets stronger through such tough games. In RPL Path quarterfinals we can face Zenit, Lokomotiv or CSKA – three great teams, so we will get a very good experience in any case.
We felt the pressure because we had to win definitely. Both teams had enough chances to score. It's good that we pulled out a win in the last minute. This is a very important victory when everything doesn't go as you want, but you still fight and come to the end.
It's a pity that Marichal and Tyukavin asked for being substituted. I hope that these are small injuries and both will be available at Sochi. We will look at their conditions in the upcoming days.
— When Yaroslav Gladyshev scored the second goal in the last seconds, everyone was celebrating and you were standing quietly. What did you think about then?
— I was calmer because I was sure that the referee would not immediately blow the final whistle. The opponent's attack came to our goal and, fortunately, Parshivlyuk touched the ball and made the force of a strike weaker and Anton took the ball. So I was not sure of the victory until the last seconds, so I stood and simply waited for the final whistle.
— What can you say about the opponent which played without tournament motivation, but tried to show spectacular football?
— Nizhny Novgorod came and played without pressure, showing what they can do. This is not a team that just stands in its penalty area, defends with a full squad and looks for set-pieces at the opponent's goal. They play with discipline and possess the ball in a high quality way. Sevikyan, Maiga, Troshechkin – they all handle the ball well. We also had problems with two strikers – Ze Turbo and Boselli who kept the balls great and played at speed. Powerful Fabian Balbuena and Roberto Fernandez had hard time with them. Nizhny Novgorod shows what they can do in the championship, where they earned just one point less than us. Sergey Yuran has made good progress with his team.
— When will you determine who will be at goal at Sochi?
— I can say that Igor Leshchuk took his chance – he played 3-4 last games great. Anton Shunin also played well today, saved the team 2-3 times. Both goalkeepers are good with their feet, which I demand from them. It's going to be a tough choice for me. Both deserve to play, so we will talk to the goalkeeping coach and make a decision on Friday or Saturday.
