Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the Cup match against Orenburg (4:2).
— After some unsuccessful games, we won a very important match and made a small step forward in the Cup. The opponent created dangerous chances, but we intercepted balls quite well in our penalty area. Only once the Iranian footballer hit the crossbar from a cross. Unfortunately, we didn't succeed in playing between the lines and moving out from defense the way I wanted. When we tried to show our skills, to dribble, we often lost the ball.
When we started to play simpler, danger began to appear. In the second half, we scored a good second goal, but then we quickly let the opponent score a very simple goal. This should not happen. There were many such deliveries in this match, and until then we cleared them.
It's great that we scored four goals because in the last matches we didn't convert many good chances. I am glad that we made a difference with the very first strike, when Fedor didn't try to invent anything and hit the target with one touch. Sometimes simple decisions become rewarding.
— How much did the substitutions change the course of the game?
— Of course, the substitutions helped us: Carrascal made an assist and scored, Tyukavin scored, Chavez helped in the midfield with high-quality passes and technique. I'm very glad to field Milan Maistorovic for 15 minutes. He trains well and is waiting for his chance. He's a young guy, quite fast and aggressive – a very interesting player. He came on by 3:1 and felt the pressure of this match – it's a good experience for him.
