The head coach of the blue-whites Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the cup match against Samara's Krylia Sovetov ( 6:3)
— Today the team showed that they can score. In the moments with two missed goals, they could have played better, but this is football. Our pair of young central defenders Lepskiy – Zaydenzal gained good experience. I'm glad that we won, even though this game didn't decide anything in terms of tournament standings. But every game is important because you play for your honor, for the colors of the club, for your teammates. You always need to go out and show both a good game and the right attitude towards it. Everything worked out well for us in this match.
— Wasn't there a desire today to field an entirely youth squad?
— I needed to give playing practice to those players who rarely take the field. We need to respect all players who create competition and wait for their chance. The group stage of the cup is a great moment to show yourself, and today they did it. I'm happy for 18-year-old Dmitry Alexandrov, who played 70 minutes. I really liked him. It can be expected that now he may appear in the championship as well.
— Will the main squad play in the quarterfinal against Lokomotiv or will you also use the nearest reserve?
It's hard to say right now, because first we have to play against Khimki and Rostov. It's still too early to talk about it, as we need to focus on the upcoming league game.
Have you already figured out who can replace the injured players in the match against Khimki?
I always enjoy when I have a choice between players before the game and I need to think about who to put in the starting lineup. Today, those who were on the field proved that I can count on them in the next match.
"Dynamo" is moving further along the RPL path. Is there any specific task for the Cup?
Next, we play against Lokomotiv. They have a good young team that likes to play fast counterattacks. This will be a good test for our defensive play. There will be two matches, like in European competitions. We'll see how it goes
