Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka spoke about the beginning of the team's preparations for the resumption of the season.
— How was the first training session in 2025?
— It's fine. It's good that everyone arrived healthy and returned to work. We are waiting for a long period of preparation, when there will be only friendly games. Here, in Doha, we have 12 days of hard work ahead of us.
— Are the training plans different compared to last year?
— It is clear that the exercises are changing, but the plan remains the same: to prepare the team as best as possible so that it is ready for the most important games in the second part of the season from the first to the last minute. We can recall last year's games with Baltika or Sochi, when we pulled out victories in added time. So the preparation will be hard, as always.
— Should the players wait for your signature training sessions on the sand?
— Yes, of course. The guys will have a specific power work in the sand. Slightly different muscles work on it, and this is very good. Since there were no injuries a year ago, we can say that the preparation went well. I'm sure it will be the same this time.
— When will Luis Chavez join the team?
— He had a son, so he stayed at home to get all the paperwork done. In 3-4 days he will join the team. In Mexico, he is working with the coach of his national team, so there are no problems.
