Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the win over Sochi (3:2).
— We really wanted to win and we did it. The ending of the match turned out to be very nervous. I thanked guys for their attitude to the game. It is always difficult to keep the right attitude after two big matches against Zenit and Spartak, when you are going to face the team from the bottom of the table. In the first half we played well, tried hard, created 3-4 great chances, but, unfortunately, we didn't score. We started the second half scoring a wonderful goal. What Parsh and Tuyka invented was fantastic. I will note Kostya's excellent coordination in the area, where you don't have time to think at all – it's fantasy and skill.
Then we started fighting with ourselves. There were 35 minutes ahead, and thoughts began to appear about how to save the score and not make a mistake, which really happened. It's good that we reacted quickly and scored the second goal, and when necessary, the third one. The score is great, but I think the guys deserved a more confident win.
— Could you influence the situation somehow, when the team was leading by 2:1, and the opponent pinned Dynamo to their goal?
— Of course, I was thinking about how to help my team. I fielded Marichal instead of Chavez, expecting crosses into the penalty area and set pieces. Besides, we conceded the first goal after such a delivery. But when you concede a goal as we did in the second episode, it is difficult to look for a mistake, when the opponent manages such a shot.
— Do you understand that in the remaining matches there will most likely be no more such gifts and Dynamo cannot waste as many chances as in the first half?
— Sochi have changed their game philosophy: they are not afraid to play under pressure and get out from under it. In the dressing room, I told guys that if we wanted to achieve success, then we needed to keep the clean sheet, and Tyuka must convert his chance. In these last matches, if i have to choose between nice football, but without a win, or a win when we show bad football, then I will choose the second option.
I am very glad that Parshivlyuk and Dasa made an assist each and helped the team. Moumi came on as a substitute and scored a very important goal. I said that we needed to keep this team spirit and endure the last three weeks. There are three difficult games left, and we need to play them as well as possible.
— Igor Leshchuk helped the team twice. Why did you decide to field him?
— Anton played 6 consecutive matches, and after talking with the goalkeeping coach, we decided that this was a good moment to give Igor a chance. It was a test for him to see if he could play well after his mistakes. He helped the team today and played well. In the second half, Anton started to warm up when Igor felt pain in his adductor muscle. It's good that he was able to endure to the end.
— After the match against Zenit, it felt like the team had left all the emotions on the pitch. Today, fortune returned these emotions at the end of the match. Do you have any training for restoring emotional strength?
— The best way is to give the players a day off so that they have a chance to change thoughts in their heads for 24 hours. Because now the games were going on one after another, and for me personally it's great when you come to the stadium and feed off the emotions from the fans. It's not bad to train, but you don't get the same emotions there as today, and it's not easy to motivate yourself in such a tough schedule. Today, these emotions came by the end of the game. I am glad that the players fought to the end and tried to follow them. When you concede in the 90th minute, it can kill you, but our team believed that there was still a chance to snatch a victory, and they were able to prove it.
