In an interview to Match TV Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka told about the game against 2DROTS (2:1), in which he played 8 minutes and a half on the pitch.
— What are your emotions after such a match?
— Good emotions. I am very glad to be part of such a game today. 22 thousand fans came to the stands. I am sure, they liked the match and will go home happy. It was great to play 8 minutes on the pitch: it's like I went back 20 years ago, when I was still a professional football player. And the atmosphere was great.
— What can coach Marcel Licka say about football player Marcel Licka today?
— It's clear that I'm not as fast as I used to be. I tried to play between the lines and make no more than two touches, because the pace was very high. I'm glad that two or three of my deliveries found the teammates, it's good.
— In one of the episodes, Roberto Fernandez did not give you the ball when you asked him to. What did he tell him?
— I was such a football player who loved to play with the ball and constantly asked for it. There was a great moment when Robbie could make the pass between the lines, and I could turn around and play with Tyukavin ahead. But he didn't assist on me, and I immediately shouted: «come on, play with me, don't be afraid». Everything is fine.
— Did you like the play of young Dynamo footballers and your newcomers – Vladimir Rykov and German El Classico?
— Super, I'm glad they played for us. I think they got nice emotions from this encounter. It was a great match for our young players, because many of them performed in front of a crowd of 22 thousand fans for the first time. Of course, they felt excitement and pressure, but they established themselves well. This experience will be useful later in the Premier League.
— Who from the 2DROTS team could have represented Dynamo?
— I watched one of their games in the Moscow Celebrity Cup, and then I liked their central midfielder Walter Edams. Also, Slon (Vladislav Oslonovsky) handles the ball well. They have a well-organized team that knows what to do with the ball. Their set-pieces are also not bad, so it was a good test for us before the derby with CSKA.
— Fedor Smolov said that now he had to compete with you for a spot in the starting line-up for the upcoming match against the Armymen.
— Fedya can sleep calmly (laughs). We have different levels. If I had lost at least 10 kilograms and 12 years, I could have competed with him. Today Fedya is top.
