Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka shared his impressions before the show match with Amcal, which will be held on Sunday at VTB Arena.
— What do you expect from the upcoming match with Amkal?
— Now we are preparing for the match with Fakel, and on Sunday we will have a good game practice. It's important that all the guys get playing time. Plus, we will attract players from the second team who will be able to show themselves to the fans and the coaching staff. It will be a holiday for them, because they have worked hard and now they can show themselves.
— It turns out that the result will not be the main thing this Sunday?
— The main thing is that none of the guys get injured.
— How do you plan to use the guest stars?
— Let's talk about it before the game, we'll give them 5-8 minutes on the field.
— Will you arrange any additional show yourself?
— No, I'm a football coach, I don't do reality shows. Other people should be doing this. It is clear that the media league has slightly different rules. I watched videos where they run along the line, the bench runs out onto the field after scoring goals. I hope that those who come to the stadium will enjoy it.
— How memorable will this event be for the fans?
— Media football is very popular in Russia, which means that a lot of fans will come. It will be good if 15-20 thousand spectators gather in the stands. This is a big plus for young players, because they have never played in front of such an audience.
— After your first match with Amkal, viral videos with Alexander Ovechkin's actions went around for a long time. Do you remember them?
— Last year, before the game with 2DROTS, I was shown these moments. I have played hockey and football with hockey players several times and they use the case very well. What Sasha Ovechkin has done is his hockey skill. The Czech national team player Milan Baros, who played hockey until he was 15, did the same great thing.
— In the match with 2DROTS, you entered the field yourself. How do you remember those 7 minutes?
— It's always nice to go on the field when there are 20 thousand fans in the stadium. There was a great atmosphere. 7 minutes was enough for me, because it's already hard to compete with young players. But it was nice to move on the field.
— What can you tell the fans who have not yet decided whether to go to the stadium?
— Amkal can show interesting things on the field, as well as our young players who will come out with great desire. So there will be a good fight, a lot of moments and the fans will enjoy it. If the score is, for example, 4:4, it will be great for everyone.
