Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the match with Rubin (2:2).

— We conceded a late goal, then our team remained ten-men at the start of the second half. But we played very well the rest of the time closing the free zones and scoring two goals ourselves. I am very happy because the team showed character and ability to fight to win. Unfortunately, we didn't endure about 30 seconds to the end, but this happens in football. Somewhere we are lucky, as we were in St. Petersburg, somewhere not, as it came today.

— Are you satisfied with the score, considering how the game was going on?

— I didn't like the way we played in the first half, because the team was too calm. On the contrary, I am happy about the second half, the team's attitude to the play, discipline and two nice goals.

— In the first half, there were problems with transitions. Is Arsen Zakharyan's absence felt?

— Zakharyan is a good player who can make a difference and be great between the lines. But he's gone, and we need to play without him and look for other options. I don't want anyone to copy Zakharyan. All football players are unique and must show what they can do.

— It seemed that after Marichal's red card it became easier for Dynamo to play on counterattacks than in the first half, when the team had to organize more positional attacks.

— Yes, I agree with that. We still don't know how to play with the ball when the opponent sits deep and holds 8-9 men in front of the penalty area. We need more patience and have to play faster through the pass. In the second half, after the red card, free zones appeared, where our fast players broke in well. We scored two nice goals, after which the opponent began to be nervous and think more how to come from behind. Unfortunately, by the end, Fameye scored a comeback goal.

— Denis Makarov did not celebrate the goal, but pointed his finger at you. Did you have some kind of dispute?

— His today's goal is not accidental. It all comes from training, where the players practice long-range strikes individually with Mario or Rolan. So I think he was pointing at Mario more than at me. It's all about practice – Denis can shoot a hundred times in a week from a similar position in training, and today he managed to score in the game.

— Did you like the goal of Makarov or Skopintsev more?

— Skopa scored a super goal, but Makarov's shot is technically more difficult. So I'll tip the scales a little bit in his direction.

— It seemed that you agreed to a draw by 1:1. Is it right?

— I fielded Sazonov instead of Tyukavin to help the defense with the set-pieces, because Rubin have 4 or 5 very tall players in the squad. But then we fielded Grulev, who played with Moumi in attack. We switched to 4-3-2. By the end of the encounter, I substituted the tired Ngamaleu, who did a lot of work. When the opponent gives us an opportunity, we have to use it, and we did it in the second half.

— If not for the red card, would your plan to replace three attacking players?

— I want our attacking footballers to be intense under pressure, and this takes a lot of efforts. Therefore, I make substitutions in these positions most often. So, if it were not for the red card, Gladyshev or Lesovoy would come to the pitch. Yaroslav establishes himself perfectly when coming on as a substitute. But after the red card, I had to change my plans.

— How is Milan Majstorovic's recovery going? When can we expect his return?

— Milan is currently undergoing rehabilitation in his homeland. He will arrive in Moscow in early September and will start training individually. If everything goes well, he will start practicing with the team in the winter. It's hard to say when he will be fully fit and ready to help Dynamo in official matches.
