Dynamo head coach Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the match against Fakel (0:0).
— Today there was more fighting than pure football. I didn't like that we did not have enough aggressiveness, speed and intensity in the first half, as it was in the derby against Spartak. The second half was better, but I think a 0:0 draw is a fair score because we didn't have a hundred percent chance to pull out a win. A lot of strikes flew into the stands. I said in the dressing room that it's better to hit low in the rain, because the ball is fast and unpredictable for the goalkeeper. We missed the target often.
— Do you understand why the first half turned out to be worse than the second one?
— We have problems this season in games with teams from the bottom of the table, when we need a lot of concentration. These sides know how to play aggressively, they defend well, and we need to be fully focused on our goals. It's easier for us to play against CSKA or Spartak when the motivation comes from the players themselves. If we want to achieve big goals, we have to beat the opponents which stand below you. Sometimes you can play badly, but still win by 1:0. We haven't learned how to do it yet.
— What did the team lack when compared to the match against Spartak?
— We were short of movement, sharpness and speed, especially in the first half. We needed to make passes behind the backs of the defenders. Fabi tried to throw the ball 2-3 times, but only in one episode Tyuka took it well in the penalty area. There was not enough aggressive movement on the opponent with the ball to constantly put pressure on him, as Magal and Alshin did, for example. In the first 45 minutes, we missed this aspect a lot.
— Did Fakel surprise you with anything?
— No, I have already met with them in the FNL and last season. With the new coach, they changed the formation. The team is physically well prepared, plays aggressively and goes on the attack through long passes.
— Denis Makarov was not available today. What's wrong with him?
— We talked to him, I gave him a week off. Now we will meet on Thursday, talk and decide how we will proceed.
— Will Eli Dasa go to the Israeli national team?
— We talked to him yesterday: he is worried about the family, with whom, thank God, everything is fine. They should fly to him in Moscow on the first plane. I think that the first game of the Israeli national team against Switzerland in Tel Aviv will be canceled, but the second one should be held away in Kosovo. While he is waiting for information from the Israeli Football Federation.
— There is an international break ahead. What are the team's plans for this break?
— In the last four matches of the championship, we got only three points which is not good. If we want to be in the top four, we can't afford that. We won't have a lot of players during the break. There will be about nine persons left with us. We will work with those who are at our disposal. The rest will gain confidence in national teams. They will change the atmosphere, it can also help.
