The head coach of Dynamo Marcel Licka answered journalists' questions after the away match against Orenburg ( 2:2)
In the first half, Orenburg were the better team, faster, and more eager to take home three points. We were lucky to only concede one goal. There was no team on the field, just 11 individuals who wanted to rely on their individual skills, but that's not how it works.
In the second half, we tried harder, ran more, made more tackles, and added aggression. We got lucky with the first penalty kick, and after the second one, we could have scored again and closed out the game. In the last 10 minutes, I would have liked the team to play less open football, keep possession of the ball, and prevent the opponents from launching quick counterattacks. Ultimately, either team could have won in the end.
- Konstantin Tyukavin had several good chances, but he didn't score again. What is missing for him this season?
It happens. Last year, there was also a streak when he couldn't score for a long time. In the first half, he had a good chance when he headed the ball, then missed the penalty kick, and when he did score, the referee whistled for offside. He needs to be patient and keep trying, working hard, keep shooting, and everything will come.
- This is already the second match where El Mehdi Maouhoub has been entrusted with taking a penalty kick. Why?
— That's what the players on the field decided. Tyuka took the first penalty kick, and in the second moment Luis talked to Mehdi and eventually left the ball to him.
— There are two weeks ahead until the next match. How will you prepare for it?
— 10-11 players of ours will go to their national teams, so we'll be training with the second team. We won't need to rush anywhere, some players will be able to rest and heal some minor injuries
