This time Dynamo sent six players to the main and youth teams: Stanislav Bessmertniy, Fabian Balbuena, Luka Gagnidze, Daniil Fomin, Jorge Carrascal and Nicolas Ngamaleu. Kazan, who did not start a revolution in the offseason, are still holding an uneven championship. Rubin's leader Mirlind Daku scored his sixth goal of the season, who also received his fourth warning. Due to the disqualification, the main defender of the team, Egor Teslenko, will also miss the match. The central midfielder Aleksandar Yukic is still injured, and the participation of the late Marvin Chuney in the game remains questionable.

Six Rubin players left for their national teams, so Rashid Rakhimov also had to prepare a team in a truncated composition: "Today (Thursday) we are waiting for the return of most of the national team players, but not all of them can have a full training session, because they arrived only last night. Vujacic spent 90 minutes in Wales, and he had three flights, Ilya Rozhkov also needs to recover."

Denis Makarov joined Dynamo from Rubin, where he had spent a year and a half before.

Midfielder Alexander Zotov played for Dynamo for two seasons, from where he moved to Yenisei, and from there he moved to Rubin.

Kazan forward Joel Fameye used to play in Orenburg and Dynamo Brest under the leadership of Marcel Licka.

This will be the third personal meeting for Licka and Rashid Rakhimov. Last season, Dynamo won at home with a score of 1:0, and a 2-2 draw was recorded in Kazan.

The teams have met 44 times, and so far Kazan has a significant advantage: 20 wins, 16 draws and 8 defeats.

The top scorers of the confrontation in the history of the national championships are Alejandro Dominguez (4 goals), Derley, Alexander Ryazantsev, Bibras Natho, Gokdeniz Karadeniz and Roni (all 3).

The meeting will be served by the team of Alexei Sukhoi, who will be assisted by linesmen Aram Petrosyan and Mikhail Ivanov. Andrey Fisenko and Artur Fedorov will be responsible for the Video Referee Assistance System (VAR). 

Last season, the 37-year-old referee from Lyuberets served only one meeting with the participation of the blue and white, in which Dynamo lost to Spartak in a cup match (0:2).
