On Wednesday, Marcel Licka, the head coach of Dynamo Moscow, turns 47 years old.
Marcel was born in Ostrava, where he began his professional career at Banik. Later, he won the Czech Cup with Slavia, played in Poland, Spain and France. After finishing his playing career, he obtained a coaching license and started working with clubs from the lower leagues of the Czech and Polish championships.
In 2018, Lichka joined the coaching staff of Dynamo Brest, and later became its head coach and led the team to victory in the Belarusian championship and Super Cup. After that, he became the head coach of Orenburg, which he promoted to the Premier League. In the summer of 2023, Marcel signed a contract with Dynamo Moscow, led the team to bronze medals of the Russian championship and was recognized as the best coach of the season.
