Sandro Schwarz: We agreed to devote all our energy and fight for Lesovoy

— Today we saw a very intense game. In the first 20 minutes, we didn't manage to get into the match. There were too many simple mistakes, which led to the conceded goal. In the second half, we made necessary changes. We started playing much faster, more aggressively, increased our pace, adjusted pass accuracy, and put pressure on the opponent. We used high pressure throughout the second half. We could score two goals and deserved this win.

— Can you evaluate Denis Makarov’s debut?

— Denis came out very well today. He had his first training session only on Friday. We also held individual theories for him, paid attention to all the important aspects of the game so that he could adapt as quickly as possible. He showed himself very well, created many goal chances and played tenaciously in defense.

— How did Arsen Zakharyan improve his play in the second half? What position do you think is the best for him?

— Zakharyan is a fairly versatile footballer who can play in many positions. It is fundamentally important that he comes out on the pitch. He is always dangerous and important for the team. Arsen works very hard to be better every day.

— Can you compare the CSKA team in the previous season and now?

— I would not like to do it. During the break, we talked to the guys and said that the game of the previous season was held in the same way – we lost by 0:1 after the first half. We made changes and were able to organize a U-turn in the second half.

— What do you think about Fabián Balbuena’s unsuccessful actions that led to conceded goals in two matches in a row? Did he not fully adapt?

— I would not compare the mistakes in the match against Ufa to those in today's encounter. We generally lacked concentration at the beginning of the first half, and made a lot of mistakes. Fabián played a high-quality match.

— Today the team came out in shirts dedicated to Daniil Lesovoy. Whose idea was it?

— Unfortunately, Daniil underwent surgery on his knee this week. We agreed in the dressing room to devote all our energy and fight for him. We all support Lesovoy, and this gave us some strength. We wish him a speedy recovery. I think that our competent medical staff will put him on his feet as soon as possible. Our team are with Daniil.
