Sandro Schwarz: We had to keep concentration until the final whistle

— We understood how serious our today's opponent was. It's good that we managed to score an early goal. In the second half the team played reliably in defense. We were able to add two more goals in the end. We are very happy to reach the next round of the tournament.

— How did you cope with the artificial pitch?

— The pitch is in good conditions. The guys knew what pitch they were going to play on and came to the match professionally. The ball went well, and in general we had no problems with the artificial pitch.

— In football, players often score against former teams. Did you have an idea to field Denis Makarov in the starting line-up?

— He didn't practice much when he recovered from injury. Therefore, we decided not to let him play from the first minutes. He entered the game well in the second half and showed his best qualities. We are glad that one of our key players is back before an important match on Friday.

— What can you say about Sebastian Szymanski’s performance? What was the reason for his substitution during the break?

— Sebastian is a very important player for us. He constantly plays very aggressively and shows fighting spirit. In the first half, he felt some discomfort after one of the tackles against him, and we decided not to risk his health.

— Why did you decide to field Igor Leshchuk today?

— We have a very strong goalkeeper’s team. Anton Shunin played his matches well in the RPL. Today Igor came on the pitch and demonstrated composure by his play. He was good within the whole match.

— Was his first half save one of the most important episodes of this encounter?

— I would not like to single out only this goal scoring episode, although it was also important. We knew that a high-quality team would face us. It's good that we managed to consolidate our advantage and score two goals in the second half.

— What can you say about Alexander Kutitsky's play?

— He played very reliably and efficiently as a defensive midfielder. Alexander showed himself very well against a tough opponent.

— Which of the two halves did you like the most in terms of the football quality?

— In the second half we played more reliably and kept composure. We increased the pace of the game, so it turned out better. In the first half we entered the game well, but at the same time we had some unforced mistakes, which the Orenburg players benefited from.

— Evaluate the team's performance in defense today.

— We allowed the opponent to create some goal scoring chances. It's great that we managed to keep the clean sheet after the matches against Spartak and Khimki, when we conceded in the end. It was important to keep concentration until the final whistle, and we managed to do it.

— In the next match you will play against Zenit. What can you say about this encounter?

— Today we didn't think about the match that will be held on Friday. We had to give our best and win this game. Now we need to recover properly in order to come to the match against Zenit in good shape. We understand that this will be a top fixture. We will face a very strong opponent.
