Dynamo Head Coach Sandro Schwarz told about his attention to the activity of the Lev Yashin Football Academy and his view on the development of the Russian youth football.

— In addition to working with the first team, we pay great attention to the young players who are in the club's system. We are closely following Dynamo-2, which play at the professional level, and youth teams. From time to time we hold coaching meetings, that are attended by specialists from the Academy. First of all, we take into consideration the U19 and U17 teams that participate in the Youth Football League. I was told that this competition had appeared recently, and I think it was the right decision. There is no pure analogue of the Youth Football League in Germany, but there are definitely U19 and U17 teams, and there have been cases when players from youth teams joined directly the first team, bypassing the other ones. I would also like to note that all the young players who are currently training with us have successful experience in the Youth League. Ivan Budachyov is an exception. He moved to the PFL team at a very young age. As for the Youth Football League, it allows young guys to play regularly with equal opponents. This is an important step leading to the professional football. So, for my part, I can only welcome that such competitions have been created in the system of children's and youth football in Russia.

The Youth Football League was launched in 2019. In the first season, Konstantin Tyukavin became the best player according to the goal + assist system, and Arsen Zakharyan joined the Team of the season. On August 23, Tyukavin and Zakharyan are included in the final squad of the Russian national team for the 2022 World Cup qualifying matches that will be held in September.
