Zakhar Yulayev and Sandro Schwarz
Dynamo Head Coach Sandro Schwarz answered journalists' questions before the Betcity Russian Cup final against Spartak.
— We are looking forward to the great final, which will be the turning point of the season. The game will be hard, but we are well prepared for it.
— Can you comment on rumors about your future?
— I know that people are talking much about it. It's just talk, I don't comment on rumors. We are fully focused on the final game. I feel responsible to the club, players, staff and fans. We'll discuss everything later.
— What are Diego Laxalt and other players’ conditions?
— Today Diego will train with the team. We will make a decision on his appearance a little later. Clinton N’Jie will definitely not be available for the final. All the other players are ready.
— What happened to the team at the end of the season? Is it possible to say that Dynamo are not coming to the final in their best shape?
— If we talk about the last encounter with Sochi, of course, we were disappointed with this defeat. We played well for the first half an hour, but then our play went sideways. We would like to forget this unfortunate spell – this concerns both the play quality and the result. But do not forget that Dynamo are a fairly young team that can face ups and downs. We need to get out of this situation and learn the right lessons. We have analyzed all the conceded goals – we have to be tenacious and strict in defense during the final match. The team has shown how to defend reliably throughout the season. And now we have to prove it once again.
— Igor Leshchuk played in the Cup all the time. The goalkeeper conceded five goals from Sochi. Will he start the crucial match, or you will choose Anton Shunin who is more experienced?
— We have a high-quality goalkeeping team, and we absolutely trust them. Igor Leshchuk played a very good match against Sochi in the first round and he looked good in the Cup. Anton Shunin also proved that he is a skillful goalkeeper. We will make the final decision on the eve of the game.

— Dynamo played in the Cup final at Luzhniki in 1999. What were you doing then?
— I was 20 years old, and then I had an awkward age. Life was very diverse. I think it would not be very appropriate to tell stories from this period.
— Do you know the Dynamo history well? Is this the most important match for the club in the last 30 years?
— I am deeply convinced that the game against Spartak will be the turning point of the season for all of us. This is what we have worked for and we have come this long way for. I think we went through all these difficult moments with heads high. We are united and we always struggle and try to achieve maximum results. We will do everything to win this Sunday. We will fight for Ivan Ordets and Andrey Voronin, who are an integral part of our team.
— Dynamo and Spartak fans have a difficult relationship. The first full house in many years is expected at the Luzhniki Stadium. What kind of motivational words can you give to the fans?
— I think that our fans have been an inseparable part of our team during all these months. They always drove us forward. I want to express my gratitude to them once again. We feel their support with every cell of our body. We are playing for them. We want to make them happy and thank them for all the time they spend with us both in sorrow and joy.
— Spartak are an inconvenient rival for Dynamo. How to break an unsuccessful run of games against the Red-Whites?
— This team has a lot of technically gifted players. They have a very dangerous attacking group. We have to find solutions to stop them, and we will find them. We held a great training cycle. The team has to show its best qualities, play with a cool head and not lose concentration.
